College Love Engagements at Claflin Univ: Brittany + Jonathan

College is the time for discovering yourself, for coming of age moments, and, more often than not, for falling in love. In telling this story we have to start where it all begins! Meet Brittany and Jonathan. During their engagement session they shared their story on how they met as well as reminiscing about the times they had as students on the historical campus of Claflin University. Tell us about how you met and all about the proposal!

In 2008, Jonathan and I were both doing our own thing. They would see each other in passing, make eye contact, and maybe exchange a few "hellos" and "goodbyes." That's about it.

The year of 2010 was the beginning our love story that neither Jonathan and I ever envisioned. We began conversing often which led to late night talks, dinner dates, random out-of-town trips, etc. Essentially, developing a more fond love for one another as the relationship strengthened intimately.

This King and Queen, do not possess the perfect love story such as "from the first day I saw you" or "he helped change my tire and from then on.." But this, amongst other things, is what separates these two from others. Their love for God, love for family, willingness to help others, and their interest in healthcare are just a few of their similarities that they share with each other.

The Proposal!

It was August 23rd the night before my birthday Jonathan planned a surprise birthday/engagement dinner at Eli's kitchen downtown with friends and family.
